JAKARTA, July 12 (Bernama) -- The Indonesian government plans to build 10 new airports to support tourism development, The Jakarta Post reported.
Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi said they are discussing financial resources for the projects.
"The valuation process is being discussed by the Finance Ministry," he said in Jakarta on Wednesday as reported by news portal kompas.com.
The airports would be located in Lampung, Central Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, East Nusa Tenggara, Central Kalimantan, Bangka Belitung and North Sumatra.
Tjilik Riwut Airport in Central Kalimantan was slated for completion this year, Budi said, adding that the project had secured an investment of Rp 400 billion (US$27 million).....
