JEDDAH, June 23 (Bernama) -- Information Ministers from countries that form the Arab Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen are meeting here today to discuss ways on how to provide the necessary media support for the coalition's military, political and humanitarian efforts in Yemen.
The day-long meeting being held at the Conference Palace, will also serve to activate the joint media discourse and develop channels for cooperation among coalition members, Arab Saudi's Ministry of Media said in a statement.
The meeting comes at a time when the Yemeni military, with the support of the coalition forces and the country's popular resistance movement to the Houthi aggression, is experiencing progress and successive victories on various fronts, especially in Hodeidah, Sa\'ada and Nihm, in light of the retreat of the Houthi militias.
The spokesperson for the Saudi-led Arab coalition Col Turki Al-Maliki said in Brussels on Friday that operations in Yemen are 'aimed at pressuring the Houthi militias to accept the political solution'.
Al-Maliki was reported by the Arab News news portal as saying that the safety of the people was the coalition's top priority and 'the political diplomatic solution is always the best option for the Yemeni people'.....
