ADDIS ABABA, March 13 (Bernama) -- A bus plunged off a cliff killing 38 people in Amhara regional state in northern Ethiopia, China's Xinhua news agency reported quoting the regional office on Tuesday.
Sunday's crash in Legambo district, South Wollo, Amhara, involved a bus carrying 48 people that was travelling from Mekane Selam city to Dessie city.
Ten other passengers who were injured received treatment in nearby health kiosks, said a statement issued by Legambo district communications affairs office.
Ethiopia's low car ownership does not match the high number of fatal road accidents due to bad roads, a flawed driving licence system and lax enforcement of road safety rules.
Some 4,500 people were killed on the roads from July 9, 2016 to July 8, 2017, said the Ethiopian Federal Transport Authority.....
