Russian Military Aircraft Crashes In Syria, Killing 32 On Board

MOSCOW, March 7 (Bernama) -- A Russian transport aircraft crashed in Syria on Tuesday, killing all 26 passengers and six crew members on board, China's Xinhua news agency reported quoting Russia's Ministry of Defence.
The Antonov-26 military cargo aircraft hit the ground while landing at Khmeimim airbase in Latakia province, the ministry said in a statement.
The aircraft was not attacked and technical malfunction may have caused the crash, said the report.
