KUWAIT CITY, Feb 14 (Bernama) -- Iraq's Prime Minister, Haidar Al-Abadi, hopes his country will become a bridge of mediation that will serve to bring benefits for the rest of the world and not a blood-filled war zone.
He said the country's new vision of sharing its gains for the benefit of all countries in the region was based on the principle of mutual benefits and establishing the country as a platform for stronger cooperation while promoting mutual understanding.
"At one time, Iraq faced many obstacles in expanding its investments such as bureaucracy, irregular laws and corruption at administrative levels and this has caused the country to now come up with new regulations to ensure a stronger economic environment," he said during his speech at the Kuwait International Conference on the Reconstruction of Iraq (KCRI) here on Wednesday.
On moving forward, he said the country will need the redevelopment of new infrastructures and skilled workers, and the implementation of the available investment opportunities in the country.
He also expressed hope the participants of the conference will join forces in the process of reconstructing Iraq to ensure continued peace and prosperity in the country.....
