KUALA LUMPUR, June 6 (Bernama) -- Muhammad Ali Yaakub has a challening mission ahead of him as the nation is pinning hopes on him to land a gold medal in Muay Thai at the SEA Games in Myanmar in December.
Malaysian Muay Thai Association president, Datuk Muhd Shahnaz Azmi said the 27-year-old was ranked among the top 10 Muay Thai exponents in the world.
"We will be sending a six-strong Muay Thai squad to Myanmar and have high expectations on the experienced Muhammad Ali," he told Bernama.
He said 25 Muay Thai exponents had been absorbed into the national contingent which is currently undergoing centralised training at the National Sports Council complex in Bukit Jalil.
All are being coached by professional trainers from Australia, Thailand and also two local coaches.....
