KUANTAN, July 12 (Bernama) -- Absence of several key players and fatigue among players resulted in the Elephants playing to a 1-1 draw in their match against PKNP FC in the Super League, Wednesday night.
Pahang head coach Dollah Salleh admitted that the team's performance was way different from their match against Selangor, which had enabled the team to be crowned FA Cup champions last Saturday.
"In the first half, the team just could not get anything right and tried to recoup in the second half of the game but again the players failed to create opportunities.
"I realised the players have run out of energy and on top of that, several key players were missing - in this situation it is difficult to push them further but this should not be an excuse," he told reporters after the match at the Darul Makmur Stadium here yesterday.
Dollah was however optimistic that his team would bounce back in their match against Perak this Saturday and would focus on winning the remaining four matches to improve their position in the Super League standing.....
