Malaysia's challenge fizzles out in British Open Squash Tournament

KUALA LUMPUR, May 15 (Bernama) -- The country's challenge in the 2018 British Open Squash Championships ended after all three players failed to reach the main draw of the tournament in Hull, England.

Former world junior champion, Ng Eain Yow crashed out from the competition after being whitewashed by French player, Gregoire Marche, 4-11, 6-11 and 6-11 in just half an hour.

Two-time national champion, Mohd Nafiizwan Adnan decided to withdraw in the third set against England's George Parker after sustaining an injury.

He won the first set, 12-10 but lost 7-11 in the second set, before deciding to pull out while leading 1-0 in the third set, according to the tournament website www.allambritishopen.com.

National top ranked junior player, S. Sivasangari also failed to advance to the main draw after she was beaten by Nele Gilis of Belgium, 11-7, 6-11, 7-11 and 5-11.....
