SEPANG, April 16 (Bernama) -- National veteran lawn bowler, Siti Zalina Ahmad is still interested to contribute her service to the nation at international tournaments after competing in the Commonwealth Games since 2002.
The 38-year-old Perak athlete who delivered a gold medal with Emma Firyana Saroji in the women's pairs at the just concluded 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia said she has not thought of retiring from competing in the sport.
Siti Zalina who was met upon her return from Gold Coast at Kuala Lumpur International Airport said the two-month intensive training in Australia before the Commonwealth Games proved to be extremely fruitful.
The Commonwealth Games gold medal was the third for Siti Zalina after bagging the gold medal in the 2002 edition in Manchester, England and 2006 in Melbourne, Australia.
"Thank God, we succeeded in improving two silver medals in the earlier edition into a gold medal this time, " said Siti Zalina who started partnering Emma Firyana two years ago.....
