SEPANG, April 16 (Bernama) -- The country's diving queen Pandelela Rinong has described her gold-medal winning feat with Cheong Jun Hoong in the women's 10m platform event at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia, recently, as a morale booster for three upcoming international competitions.

The three championships are the World Diving Series, the International Swimming Federation (FINA) World Cup, and the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia.

Pandelela said winning the gold in Commonwealth Games was very meaningful to her, as it was the second one after the 2010 edition in New Delhi, India, where she won the individual 10m platform event.

"Winning a gold medal definitely makes me happy, and I am very pleased with my overall performance this time.

"I admit, the competition this time was very challenging, but I am grateful for the good result," she told reporters after arriving at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA 2) with the national squad from Gold Coast, earlier today.....
