GOLD COAST, April 15 (Bernama) --The Malaysian contingent have completed their Commonwealth Games campaign in the 12th position with seven gold, five silver and 12 bronze medals.
Despite failing to be in the top 10 group, the national contingent succeeded in surpassing their achievement in Glasgow, Scotland in which Malaysia won six gold medals.
Badminton was the savior when it contributed two gold medals in the men's singles and women's doubles.
Praises should be given to Datuk Lee Chong Wei who defeated his much younger opponent for the gold.
In fact, the victory today was sweet for the 35-year-old athlete who is making his last appearance in the Commonwealth Games.....
