FA Cup Second Round: Penang Beat Police, Melaka Score Mega Win

KUALA LUMPUR, March 4 (Bernama) -- The 2002 FA Cup champions, Penang overpowered Police 3-1 in their second round FA Cup match at Shah Alam Stadium tonight.

While a financial crisis is besetting the Football Association of Penang (FAP), Zainal Abidin Hassan's boys brought cheers to their fans when they advanced to the third round.

Penang's three goals were scored by Ken Ilso of Denmark in the eighth and 34th minutes and Kang Seung Jo in the ninth minute while The Cops' only goal was netted by Sim Woon-Sub in the second-half injury time.

At Hang Jebat Stadium, hosts Melaka blasted Social League side, Southern FC 7-0.

The goals were scored by Yahor Zubovich in the 11th and 26th minutes, R. Gopinathan (24th minute), Mohd Fauzi Roslan (34th minute), Farderin Kadir (44th minute), Mohd Azmi Muslim (53rd minute) and Nurshamil Ghani (75th minute).....
