IPOH, March 4 (Bernama) --The Argentine hockey squad continued their triumphant campaign after recording their second consecutive win with a 5-3 drubbing of Ireland at the 27th Sultan Azlan Shah Cup hockey tournament at Azlan Shah Stadium here today.
In the match, Ireland began aggressively to go two up when Shane O' Donoghue and Sean Murray found the net with field goals in 12th and 17th minutes respectively.
Argentina fought back to earn their first goal via prolific striker Gonzalo Peilat in the 20th minute which triggered two more goals in quick succession.
Lucas Villa was on target with a field goal in 22nd minute to equalise for Argentina before Gonzalo put his team ahead with a penalty corner one minute later.
Gonzalo scored his sixth goal of the tournament when he converted a penalty corner in the 27th minute and before the first half ended, Juan Gilardi slotted in a penalty stroke in the 30th minute for Argentina's fifth goal.....
