National singles player Vivian Hoo said there was still much room for improvement, and that the squad would need to work hard if they were to eye better results at the 2018 Uber Cup in Bangkok this May.

"The style of play of our teammates in this tournament was very positive, and losing or winning was secondary, as all of us were improving (our game)," she told the media after the match.

She said, however, this did not mean the team was satisfied (with only making it to the quarter-final) and needed to show more consistency if they wished to be regarded among the main contenders (for the Uber Cup).

In the meantime, Vivian said she had no problem playing with her new partner Tee Jing Yee, who replaced the injured Wong Kher Wei.....
