Players' Fighting Spirit Good For Malaysian Badminton - Norza

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 14 (Bernama) -- The fighting spirit shown by the senior and junior players is a good sign for badminton in Malaysia, and will bring glory to the nation globally.

Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) president Datuk Seri Mohamad Norza Zakaria said this was evident from the results at the Thailand Masters and at the BAM-AirAsia National Youth League tournaments.

"I am excited that Malaysian players have qualified for two of the five finals at the Thailand Masters. The players have fighting spirit unlike before where we could only count on Datuk Lee Chong Wei.

"These are young players who will take Malaysia's challenge far and wide," he told reporters after the National Junior League tournament at Stadium Juara, Bukit Kiara, herev today.

Selangor players swept the team boys and girls tittles in the inaugural tournament and won cash prize of RM20,000 and admission to the National Badminton Academy (NBA).....
