ALOR SETAR, Jan 3 (Bernama) -- The Kedah Football Association (KFA) today signed two new foreign players in Pablo Pallares, a Spaniard, and Alvaro Silva, a Filipino, for the 2018 Malaysian Leagues (M-League).

Midfielder Pallares, formerly of SD Ponferradina in Segunda Division B, Spain and striker Silva, a Philippines national player, signed one year contract with the Red Hawks squad.

They replace Zachary Anderson of Australia, and Ken Ilso Larsen of Denmark, whose contracts were not renewed. The signing ceremony was held at KFA office, and attended by honorary secretary Datuk Aminuddin Omar and assistant team manager Haris Che Mat.

Pallares, who stands at 1.90 metre tall, began his career with Valencia CF while Silva last played for Hanoi FC in Vietnam and Malaga CF in 2016, among others.

Meanwhile, Aminuddin said he is trying to sign another player from Indonesia, Thailand or Vietnam to fill the Asean quota and complete the five foreign players slot this season.....
