KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 3 (Bernama) -- Badminton singles player Iskandar Zulkarnain Zainuddin has accepted the fact that he has to play in level four to six tournaments after his world ranking dropped to 99.
"There are not many tournaments I can join because of the new rules by BWF (Badminton World Federation) which makes it hard for me to play in high level tournaments.
"I cannot blame anyone but myself. I have to play hard and raise my performance. I cannot waste the opportunity given," he said when met at Akademi Badminton Malaysia (ABM), here recently.
Iskandar said he would use his experience at the highest level to raise his world ranking.
"National men's singles head coach Datuk Misbun Sidek gives me a lot of encouragement. He said I have nothing to be ashamed of despite having to start from below," he added.....
