BURIRAM, Nov 13 (Bernama) -- National head coach Nelo Vingada has blamed the brief preparation his team had prior to facing the North Koreans as among the reason for the drubbing they suffered against their more accomplished opponents.
The Portuguese coach said, the team did not prepare well for the match against North Korea who are certainly a level above the Malaysian side.
"To face a team like North Korea, you need to prepare well in advance for months and not just days. We arrived in Buriram on Nov 7 and had our first training together the next day and we play on Nov 10, and three days later," he said during the post match media conference at the i-mobile Stadium today.
Earlier, his chargers suffered another humiliating 1-4 defeat against the North Koreans, repeating the same humbling scoreline three days ago.
With the latest defeat, Vingada has not been able to guide his team to a single win in seven matches since being appointed as the national head coach last May.....
