Chia Fails To Maintain Sizzling Form At Yeangder TPC Golf Meet

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 6 (Bernama) -- Seasoned Malaysian golfer Danny Chia failed to keep up his positive pace after he dropped five rungs to be in joint eighth with two others in the second round of the Yeangder Tournament Players Championship (TPC) in Taiwan, today.

In today's round, the 44-year old traded two birdies against one bogey in eight hole in front nine and adding another birdie in 10th hole.

However, he conceded another bogey at 12th for a two day total of five-under-par 139 and shared the eighth spot with Thailand's Prom Meesawat and Antonio Lascuna of the Philippines in the tournament held at the Linkou International Golf and Country Club.

Reigning Asian Development Tour (ADT) Order of Merit winner, Johannes Veerman of the United States continued his sizzling performance, firing a 69 to maintained his position at the top of the leaderboard, while adrift one shot behind are four players - American Dodge Kemmer, Thailand's Jazz Janewattananond and also the hosts duo, Lu Wei-chih and Sung Mao-chang.

Another Malaysian player, Nicholas Fung, on the other hand, stole the limelight after scoring a flawless 67 to jump 61 rungs to joint 21st while his fellow teammate Beng Leong dropped five rungs to joint 40th after scoring an even par 72 for two straight days.....
