YAN, Oct 6 (Bernama) -- The Terengganu Cycling Team (TSG) rider, Nur Amirull Fakhruddin Marzuki hopes to defend his Green Jersey (Sprint King title) in 2017 Jelajah Malaysia (JM 2017) until the finish line tomorrow.
Although the 25-year-old rider is leading with 41 points, he is expected to face a fierce challenge from South African rider Brendon Davids (25 points) of Oliver\'s Real Food Racing, and Indonesia's Aiman Cahyadi (24 points) of the Team Sapura Cycling (TSC) to retain the jersey.
"I will try my best to retain this jersey and I don't want to panic. We will not miss any chance to gain points.
"The chance to emerge as the Sprint King is high, but anything can happen. Therefore, we must follow the strategies and see what will happen," he said after completing the fourth stage at 47th place by clocking 3:03:25s, at the Gunung Jerai peak today.
Dubbed the most most challenging stage, today's race from Kulim to Gunung Jerai covering a distance of 101.3km, was won by Columbia's, Wilmar Jahir Perez Munoz of TSC who clocked 2:50:41s.....
