KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 3 (Bernama) -- Kedah, Terengganu and Selangor booked the last three slots in the quarter-finals of the Malaysia Cup competition after the group stage came to an end Wednesday night.
Kedah's do-or-die mission to book a quarter-final berth paid off when they defeated Perak 2-0 who were trying the same at the Darul Aman Stadium in Alor Setar.
Kedah's first goal came in the 71st minute through a header by Billy Mehmet Osman while Badrol Bakhtiar sealed victory with their second two minutes later.
Kedah emerged as the champions of Group B with 10 points while Terengganu were runners-up with nine points.
At the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium in Kuala Terengganu, despite the match between Terengganu and Sarawak ending in a 0-0 draw, it was good enough for the hosts to advance to the quarter-finals.....
