KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 1 (Bernama) - Despite failing to win the world title after being defeated by Chinese player, Chen Long at the BWF Badminton World Championships, national shuttler Datuk Lee Chong Wei's service to the country has no comparison.

Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said the number one world player's endeavour to fulfil the hope of the country's fans was clearly shown during the final.

"Chong Wei has shown a perfomance that is full of spirit and I hope he will not give up because he is the country's best hope to haul a gold medal in the 2016 Olimpic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

"He (Chong Wei) has told me, he is not quitting yet and, after this, I have asked him to concentrate on the Asian Games, which will be held soon," he told reporters after attending an aerobics programme, organised by radio Era FM in Tasik Titiwangsa here Monday.

In the world championships, which was held in Copanhagen, Denmark, Chong Wei lost to second choice player, Chen Long from China 19-21 and 19-21 in the men's singles final.....
