COPENHAGEN, (Denmark), Aug 27 (Bernama) -- Former All England men's doubles champions Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong showed flashes of their past performance to move into the third round of the BWF Badminton World Championships at the Ballerup Super Arena, here today.

Kien Keat-Boon Heong swept past China's young pair Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen 21-14, 21-18 in their second round match to set up a date with Taiwan's Lee Sheng Mu/Tsai Chia Hsin who defeated Malaysian pair Goh V Shem/Lim Khim Wah who retired in the second set after V Shem suffered a back injury.

Kien Keat who is now coaching a professional club in Thailand said he was ready to don national colours again, if his services were required.

"I am always ready to offer myself to represent the country although age is catching up and there are family commitments," he told reporters after his match at the Ballerup Super Arena, here.

"As for the World Championships here, I have not set any specific target for myself because I have not been training with Boon Heong, even before coming here...I just wanted to partner him again after deciding to retire earlier," he said.....
