NANJING, Aug 21 (Bernama) -- National youth badminton player, Cheam June Wei is confident of delivering the country's first gold medal at the Youth Olympic Games 2014 after qualifying for the international mixed final tomorrow.

Cheam, partnering Ng Tsz Yau of Hong Kong, easily beat Narongrit Mek of Thailand and Qin Jinjing of China in 21-11, 21-7 in the semi-final at the Gymnasium Sports Centre, near here tonight.

He was clearly satisfied with his performance tonight and hoped to put up a stronger show in the final tomorrow.

He said the challenge in the final tomorrow would be a much tougher fight but he will play his best.....
