KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 21 (Bernama) -- Malaysian number two squash player Mohd Nafiizwan Adnan's hopes to move on to the semi-finals in the Malaysian Open was short-lived.
The 28-year-old player lost to the tournament's top seed Mohamed Elshorbagy of Egypt in the quarter-finals held at the NU Sentral mall in Brickfields, here Thursday.
He lost to the world number three in 11-5, 11-9 and 11-3 in a 31-minute match.
"I was playing against the world number three and semifinalist at the world open last year. He played the court well and got into his rhythm, however I did my best.
"The court was a bit slippery and it hurt my leg. Many of the players also complained about it. I have to seek my physiotherapist about my leg before leaving for Hong Kong tomorrow morning. The pain was a bit worrying because I need to be ready for the Asian Games," said Mohd Nafiizwan.....
