NANJING, Aug 21 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian contingent and media personnel at the Youth Olympic Games 2014 (YOG 2014) will be observing a minute's silence in conjunction with the Day of National Mourning tomorrow as a mark of respect to victims of the MH17 air crash.

National Sports Council Junior Unit head, Azrul Hisyam Abdul Jalil said even though there was no special ceremony, athletes and officers will observe the one minute's silence and offer prayers to MH17 victims.

"We are also saddened by the incident and offer our condolences to the crash victims," he told Bernama Thursday.

Meanwhile Bernama sports desk journalist, Ahmad Muliady Ab Majid said even though they were busy with various coverages, it would not stop him and other Malaysian media representatives from offering prayers to the Muslim victims tomorrow.

"As Malaysians, the grief over the MH17 incident is also felt here (Nanjing)," he said.....
