China Continue To Dominate Action In YOG 2014

NANJING, Aug 19 (Bernama) -- Host China continued its dominance on the third day of the Youth Olympic Games (YOG 2014) but Russia and Hungary kept pace by remaining close in second and third place respectively.

China has five gold, one silver, five bronze medals against Russia's tally of 4,3,3 while Hungary despite not winning any medals today remained in third spot with four gold and two bronze medals.

Taiwan were a surprise package today when it moved into fourth spot with three gold, one silver and a bronze.

Asean representative Thailand with two gold medals and a silver dropped from sixth to eighth position but Malaysia remained outside the medal tally list after failing to win any medals after three days of competition.

Hopes however, medal hopes remain high as shuttlers have a good chance of moving into the semifinals in the individual and mixed doubles competitions.....
