Delia Arnold Pulls Off Major Upset To Follow Nicol, Wee Wern Into Second Round

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 19 (Bernama) -- World number one, Datuk Nicol David had an easy passage to the second round of the 2014 CIMB Malaysian Open squash championships at the National Squash Centre in Bukit Jalil Tuesday night.

Nicol, Malaysia's top bet, did not face much trouble playing against Hong Kong's qualifier Liu Tsz Ling and won 11-3, 11-2, 11-3 in just 16 minutes.

"It was a good win for me. I need to build up for a tough week ahead," said Nicol, who will turn 31 on Aug 26.

In the second round, Nicol will meet India's Joshna Chinnapa, who defeated Denmark's Line Hensen 11-8, 8-11, 11-7, 11-9.

Also progressing to the next level were Malaysia's number two Low Wee Wern and Delia Arnold.....
