KUALA TERENGGANU, Aug 19 (Bernama) -- Terengganu has set a modest target of a top three finish in the National Para Games which started in Perlis Tuesday at the Kangar Sports Complex.
Terengganu Youth, Sports and Human Resources committee chairman Datuk Rozi Mamat said the state contingent was expected to win 32 gold medals and finish among the top three teams in the Games.
He added that the target was based on the performance of the state contingent that had won 28 gold medals in the previous edition hosted by Pahang, two years ago.
The 183-member Terengganu contingent which includes athletes and officials, would be led by chef-de-mission Engku Azman Syed Mohd who is also the deputy director of the state youth and sports department.
Terengganu will be taking part in all nine sports contested, namely athletics, lawn bowls, archery, swimming, tennis, basketball, table tennis, badminton and powerlifting.....
