SIBU, Aug 19 (Bernama) -- Five women will be among 51 base jumpers taking part in this year's Sibu BASE Jump.
According to Sibu Tourism Task Force chairman Sim Kok Kee, they will be among 51 base jumpers who had confirmed their participation so far.
BASE is an acronym that stands for four categories of fixed objects from which a person can jump from, namely buildings, antennae, spans (bridge) and earth (cliff).
Speaking at a press conference here today, Kok Kee said the annual extreme sport would be held at the Sibu Town Square 1 from Sept 19 to 21.
"The jumpers will jump off Sarawak's tallest building, the 126-metre high Wisma Sanyan there. They will also perform night jumps on Sept 19 and 20 if weather permits," he said.....
