KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 17 (Bernama) -- The Petronas Raceline Malaysia rider, Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah, took another step forward in his qualifying Session to start his race in 21st position at the Borneo Circuit in Czech Republic on Sunday.
Hafizh may not have improved his position in the score sheet, but he certainly deserved a credit for slashing his previous best time by almost 0.8 of a second.
Hafizh said the result was certainly a huge leap in Moto2 class and should boast his chances of getting more points for the race day.
"I'm pretty relieved now as the bike is behaving much better and making me easier to drive out of turns without much drama. What I could have done was to push harder when the weather was warmer in the beginning of the session as I only did my fastest lap in 17th of the total 18.
"The weather was cooler towards the end, so was the tarmac temperature and the grip was a little less. Anyway I'm glad we found our way and I bet tomorrow's race would be exciting for us," Hafizh said.....
