KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 14 (Bernama) -- National backup kegler, Muhd Rafiq Ismail emerged as the sole Malaysian to make the cut into the boys' Master Finals Stage Two of the 2014 World Youth Bowling Championships in Hong Kong.
The southpaw youngster completed his six-game series with 1201 pinfalls to amass a 5131 cumulative total, putting him in sixth position, out of 24 keglers competing in Stage One, which was held today at the South China Athletics Association Bowling Centre, said the Asian Bowling Federation (ABF) on their website www.abf-online.org.
Two other national junior keglers, Timmy Tan and Ahmad Muaz Fishol posted 5,086 and 4,963 cumulative totals respectively but it was not enough to send them through to the next stage.
In the girls' category, two national junior keglers -- Victoria Chin and Radin Nur Najwa Arifah Radin Dzulfakar scored frustrating results as both of them finished in 14th and 15th place respectively.
Chin and Radin Nur Najwa amassed cumulative totals of 4,796 and 4,789, respectively.....
