KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 14 (Bernama) -- National young racer, Mohd Zaqhwan Zaidi is keeping his fingers crossed to continue his excellent run in the third round of the Asia Petronas Motorcycle Championships (ARRC) at the Autopolis International Circuit in Japan this weekend.
The 19-year-old rider, representing Musashi Boon Siew Honda Racing, created shock waves when he clinched his maiden victory in the 600cc Supersports category in the ARRC second round at the Sentul International Circuit in Indonesia in June.
He had earlier only garnered sixth place out of 22 riders in the first race.
"The win in Indonesia has certainly boosted my confidence but I do not want to be overconfident, so it would be good if I could set foot on the podium," said Mohd Zaqhwan in a statement issued by his team Thursday.
"It is my ambition to chalk up more wins so that I could start on the front grid with other leading challengers," he said.....
