JOHOR BAHARU, Aug 12 (Bernama) -- The national under-20 rugby squad have vowed to wrest back the title at the Asian Rugby Football Union (ARFU) youth seven-aside championship at Dataran Bandaraya, here on Aug 16 and 17.
After losing to Hong Kong in the final last year, the squad under Mohd Saizul Hafifi Md Noor now are out to ensure the cup which they won in 2011 and 2012 will return to Malaysia.
He said Malaysia had a good chance to emerge champions this year based on their careful preparation for the past two months and a stronger lineup.
"Five of the players were in the squad last year with four also listed in the national senior squad.
"I believe, we have a chance to be champions, despite knowing Hong Kong will try to thwart our dream," he said after attending the handing over of sponsorship and media conference on the 2014 Johor Rugby Carnival at Puteri Pacific here today.....
