KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 11 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Moto2 rider Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah rode a superb race in the Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix race on Sunday to finish in seventh place.
Hafizh, the Petronas Raceline Malaysia rider who started the race in 20th position on the grid, zoomed past 13 riders to finish the race in 26 minutes 26.084 seconds.
Mika Kallio from Marc VDS Racing team emerged victorious with a time of 26:07.410s ahead of Maverick Vinales (Paginas Amarillas HP 40) who clocked 26:08.790s and Dominique Aegerter (Technomag carXpert) who took third place on the podium with a time of 26:09.106s.
Hafizh through his social site Instagram said the seventh place finish was his best achievement since participating in a full Moto2 season.
"Thank God, I feel so happy and satisfied with the result. I will do more and train harder to achieve a better result. A million thanks to the team (Petronasraceline) and family," he said through his Instagram - hafizh_syahrin.....
