Nepali Squad For ACC U-16 Premier League To Be Held In Malaysia Announced

KATHMANDU, Aug 9 (Bernama) -- Nepal has announced the names of its 18-member squad for the upcoming Asian Cricket Council Under-16 Premier League to be held in Malaysia from Aug 14 to 20.

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) made the announcment on Friday.

Last week 27 Nepali players, who have passed the Asian Cricket Council's bone test, had been called for the closed camp training and the 18 names were finalised from among the 27 members, said Uttam Maharjan, officiating general secretary of the CAN.

The Nepali national team for ACC U-16 national team comprises Sumit Maharjan, Aashif Sheikh, Pranit Thapa, Sushant Singh Thapa, Pawan Sharraf, Jitendra Singh Thakuri, Rabindra Shahi, Ravi Kumar Shah, Rabi Chand, Ashish Pokhrel, Vijay Chowdhary, Anil Kharel, Suman Ghimire, Rabin Singh, Aman Panthi, Rijan Dhakal, Roshan Adhikari and Suraj Bohora.

Sumit Maharjan is the team captain while Basanta Shahi is the chief coach to be assisted by Raju Basnet. Ranjit Tamang is manager of the Nepali national squad for Malaysia tour.....
