GLASGOW, Aug 1 (Bernama) -- Although they did not win any gold medals in the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, the national bowling squad put on a better performance as compared to four years ago at the New Delhi Games.
At this edition, the squad came close to winning the gold when the women's fours and men's pairs made it to the final.
However, they were up against more experienced opponents and had to settle for the silver.
"Our achievement here is something we can be proud of even through we missed out on gold medals. It is better than the one silver and one bronze we won in New Delhi," said team manager Syed Abidin Syed Zain.
Malaysia have never missed out on medals since taking part in lawn bowls in 1998, when Malaysia hosted the Games.....
