KUALA LUMPUR, July 30 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC) is leaving no stone unturned in its quest to ensure a good showing by the national team at the Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea in September.

Towards this end, it has formed the 2014 World Cup Review Committee with National Sports Council director Datuk Seri Zolkples Embong, National Sports Institute director Datuk Dr Ramlan Abdul Aziz, and hockey legends, Datuk R. Yogeswaran and Datuk Poon Foke Loke, as members.

Senior vice-president Datuk Nur Azmi Ahmad said the committee would strive to identify all weaknesses in the national squad, in respect of performance at the World Cup at the Hague, Netherlands in May.

"We want to review and set right the weaknesses in the squad at the World Cup which Malaysia graced after a 12-year hiatus.

"The target now is to make the final of the Asian Games competition to grab an automatic slot for the 2016 Olympic Games," he added.....
