GLASGOW, July 28 (Bernama) -- The men's national hockey squad have been handed a 1-8 thrashing at the hands of England in their second group B match at the National Hockey Stadium in Glasgow on Sunday.

Ashley Jackson emerged as England's hero having scored four goals, in the third, 43rd, 55th and 60th minute.

The remaining four goals were contributed by Adam Dixion in the 49th minute, Mark Gleghorne 64th minute, Phil Roper 67th minute and Alastair Brogdon completed England's goal fiesta in the 69th minute.

Malaysia's solitary goal was by Muhammad Shahril Saabah in the 25th minute.

In the opening match, Malaysia defeated Canada 2-0.....
