GLASGOW, July 24 (Bernama) -- National shooter Nur Ayuni Farhana Abdul Halim, who was initially excluded from competing in the 20th Commonwealth Games which opened here today, will get to compete after all.

She could not be registered for participation by the set deadline because her baggage which contained her shooting suit which is mandatory for all shooters went missing, believed in London, while en route to Glasgow.

Malaysia's shooting contingent manager Datuk Musa Omar said the director of the shooting competition of the Games allowed an appeal by the Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) for her inclusion in the women's 10m air rifle and 50m rifle prone events.

"We managed to recover her baggage yesterday. I hope this episode will not affect her performance," he told Malaysian journalists here today.

Nur Ayuni and Nur Suryani Taibi had won the gold in the women's pairs 10m air rifle event at the last edition of the Games in New Delhi four years ago.....
