KUALA LUMPUR, July 20 (Bernama) -- Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) head coach, Bojan Hodak is hoping that his star-studded cast would be able to move into the quarterfinals of the Malaysia Cup which kicks of on Aug 13.
Describing Group C which comprise three other teams - Armed Forces, Kelantan and Penang, as the 'group of death' the Croatian-born coach said, all teams, except Penang, have an equal chance of securing a place in the quarterfinals.
"Yes, we should focus on the next round, regardless, the target is to win every game and tournament. Only injuries and suspension can hinder such objectives.
"All four are good teams, maybe Penang will struggle a little, because there is a gap in terms of quality between Super League and the Premier League sides but Penang is dangerous with their home play. The battle between ATM, Kelantan and JDT will decide who will go to the next round," he was quoted in the team's website; www.johorsoutherntigers.com.my.
On the team's preparation, Hodak said his side only trained at night because of the fasting month but said it would not be an excuse in their quest for glory in the Malaysia Cup.....
