KUALA LUMPUR, July 18 (Bernama) -- Malaysia has ended its challenge in the 2014 Taiwan Open Grand Prix Gold Badminton Championships when its sole representatives lost in the quarter-finals.
At Taipei Arena today, Chow Pak Chuu and Mak Hee Chun lost 16-21 and 18-21 to Japanese pair of Hiroyuki Saeki and Ryota Taohata in the men's doubles as reported in the Badminton World Federation (BWF) website www.bwfbadminton.org.
Six other national players also failed to get passed the third round on Thursday.
They were Tan Chung Seang and Goh Soon Huat (men's singles), Chooi Kah Ming/Teo Ee Yi and Tai An Khang/Woon Mun Choon (men's doubles), Sannatasah Saniru (women's singles) and Amelia Alicia Anscelly/Soong Fie Cho (women's doubles).
