KUALA LUMPUR, July 7 (Bernama) -- The national netball squad will undergo an eight-day training stint in Perth from Aug 17 in their final preparation for the 2014 Asian Netball Championship in Singapore from Sept 7 to 14.
Malaysian Netball Association executive secretary Mazidah Musa said Australia was an ideal location for training as it now topped the International Netball Federation's ranking.
"I hope the training and exposure, including having seven friendly matches with Australian clubs, will help improve our performance and pattern of play in our quest to clinch the gold medal," she told Bernama today.
On the Asian Netball Championship, Mazidah cited Sri Lanka and Singapore as Malaysia's main contenders.
Other countries taking part in the tournament, include Brunei, India, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan and Myanmar.....
