KUALA LUMPUR, July 3 (Bernama) -- National shooters missed their mark as none of them made the grade in the 2014 International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) World Cup Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun championships held at the Beijing Olympic Shooting Range in China.
In today's men's 10m air rifle, Muhammad Ezuan Nasir Khan emerged as the best Malaysian shooter after amassing 621.5 points to finish 15th among 49 shooters who competed in the qualifying rounds, according to the ISSF's website www.issf-sports.org.
Mohd Hadafi Jaafar amassed 612 points to clinch 37th position while Mohammad Zubair Muhammad finished in 49th position after managing just 601.4 points.
Points gunned down by the Malaysians was not enough to earn them a spot in the final round as only the top eight shooters will go through.
Russian shooter, Nazar Louginets who was top in the qualifying round with 632.7 points, shoot down gold medal after scoring 209.3 points in the nine-round elimination stage.....
