Police In Limbo As FAM Said To Be Eyeing Dollah

Last update: 25/06/2014

KUALA LUMPUR, June 25 (Bernama) -- Newly crowned Premier League champion, Police may have to part ways with head coach Dollah Salleh if the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) decides to engage his services as national coach.

Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi however, stressed that Dollah's release will be discussed before making a decision as his contract ends only in November.

"We will leave it to the association...if someone is chosen to serve the country, we may have to sacrifice. However, there will be conditions which I will reveal later," Ahmad Zahid told reporters here today when asked to comment reports on social media that claimed Dollah would be roped in by the FAM to coach the National side.

Meanwhile, Dollah who claimed that he was not aware of such reports said his priority now was to prepare the Police team for the Malaysia Cup.

"I am not sure if there are such reports because I still have a contract with Police until November...therefore any proposals must be discussed with Datuk Seri (Ahmad Zahid) first," he said.....
