KUALA LUMPUR, June 24 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Gymnastics Federation (MGF) will be sending 10 National gymnasts to undergo training abroad to prepare for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in Scotland, next month.
MGF President A. Razak Mat Amin hoped the training and exposure abroad would come in handy for National gymnasts to excel in Glasgow.
"Apart from gaining valuable exposure, the gymnasts will be able to learn new techniques when training abroad. I am confident that such programmes can benefit National gymnasts," he told Bernama, here today.
He said as part of preparations for two major events, namely the Glasgow Commonwealth Games and the Incheon Asian Games in South Korea, the MGF would send Hairi Zaid Ahmad Saruji and Mohd Hamzarudin Nordin to China.
Amy Kwang, Wong Poh San and Fatin Zakirah Jalany Zain Jalany will go to Saint Petersburg in Russia and return just before the Commonwealth Games on July 23, while Farah Ann Abdul Hadi, Natasha Ilani Raymund Jayadev, Tan Ing Yueh, Nur Eli Ellina Azmi and Tracie Ang would be send to Manchester, England from July 6 to 24, he said.....
