MNCF Names Team Of Eight Cyclists To Glasgow Commonwealth Games

KUALA LUMPUR, June 17 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian National Cycling Federation (MNCF) named eight cyclists to spearhead the country's challenge in the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, from July 23 to Aug 3.

MNCF President Datuk Abu Samah Abd Wahab said the federation had picked eight riders, including to women cyclists and four officials.

The riders named for the track events in Glasgow were Mohd Azizulhasni Awang, Josiah Ng, Muhammad Edrus Md Yunos, Mohd Rizal Tisin (men), Fatehah Mustapa and Ju Pha Som Net (women).

"For road races, we have named Loh Sea Kong and Muhammad Fauzan Ahmad Lutfi," he told Bernama when contacted.

Abu Samah said eight track cyclists who are currently undergoing training in Melbourne, Australia, will return to Malaysia tomorrow and undergo their final phase of training here before heading to Scotland.....
