Premiere League: Sarawak Hope To Steal One Point From Singapore

Last update: 12/06/2014

KUCHING, June 12 (Bernama)-- Fresh from their 2-0 victory over T-Teams at home on Tuesday, Sarawak Premier League squad travelled to Singapore today, hoping to steal one point from last season champions Singapore Lions XII.

Admitting that it would be a daunting task to overcome Lions XII, Sarawak head coach Robert Alberts said he was optimistic over the prospect as the Crocs would be much stronger with the return of defender Gabor Gyapes after serving a one-match suspension.

Although Sarawak beat Singapore Lions XII 3-1 in the first round of the Super League at the State Stadium here on March 15, Alberts said it would not be easy to play before a partisan crowd at the Jalan Besar Stadium on Saturday.

Sarawak travelled early to Singapore to acclimatise themselves with the artificial pitch at the Jalan Besar Stadium.

A win will confirm Sarawak's place in next year's Super League.....
