KUANTAN, June 11 (Bernama) -- The Pahang Football Association will go on a statewide tour to parade their recently won trophies as an effort to boost the team's spirit for the remaining four Super League matches.
State Youth and Sports Committee chairman Datuk Mohd Johari Hussain said during the statewide parade, all three trophies won by Pahang in succession - Malaysia Cup, Charity Shield and FA Cup - would be showcased.
"Pahang has won three trophies on the trot and that means the team has earned much respect among its opponents. I believe by parading the trophies, it can boost the support of the fans and the spirit of the players in the team.
"We are hoping that the parade will serve as a tonic for the players in their quest for more trophies, including the Super League and Malaysia Cup," he told Bernama here Wednesday.
Last year, Pahang ended a 21-year wait to win the Malaysia Cup under coach Dollah Salleh while his successor Ronald Smith added the Charity Shield before current coach Zainal Abidin Hassan completed a hat-trick of titles by winning the FA Cup last week.....
