KUALA LUMPUR, June 9 (Bernama) -- Malaysia exhibited a disappointing performance after ending their Group A campaign in the 2014 World Cup Hockey Championship without any win.
In the final group match at the GreenFields Stadium, The Hague, Holland today, the national squad handled by Muhammad Dhaarma Raj Abdullah recorded their fifth loss, going down 2-5 to Spain.
The result saw Malaysia in the last position in Group A without any points and will face South Africa or South Korea from Group B for the 11/12 classification on Thursday.
Prior to this, Malaysia lost to defending champions Australia (0-4), Belgium (2-6), England (0-2) and India (2-3).
South Africa will play against Argentina while South Korea face Germany in their last matches of Group B tomorrow, to decide their positions in the group.....
